About Special Service Area (SSA) #69 – Ashland Avenue Corridor

Established in 2015, Special Service Area (SSA) #69 is a bold Business Improvement District (BID) initiative focused on revitalizing and sustaining the Ashland Avenue commercial corridor, from 80th Street to 95th Street on both sides of Ashland.

SSA #69 was created to:

• Promote local commerce and shopping

• Improve area beautification and streetscape enhancements

 

Provide ongoing security services to support a safe and welcoming environment.

SSA #69 aims to ensure economic vitality and stability by fostering a clean, safe, and thriving business district. Through targeted investment and collaboration, SSA #69 supports both new and existing businesses in Auburn Gresham.

 

Build on Ashland Campaign

One of our signature initiatives, Build on Ashland, is a strategic marketing and outreach campaign designed to:

• Attract new businesses and developments

• Elevate the corridor’s identity as a commercial destination

Engage the community around investment and growth.

The Greater Auburn Gresham Development Corporation (GAGDC) proudly serves as the Primary Service Provider for SSA #69. GAGDC oversees all funding, reporting, and implementation of programs that enhance business development and neighborhood vibrancy along the corridor.
